Beautiful ruby red colour with purple hues. Deliciously seductive aromas of freshly concentrated fruit swing from the glass. Redcurrant, blackberry, strawberry and cherry lavishly express themselves and lend the wine an unprecedented accessibility. Under the motto "It doesn't always have to be difficult and complicated!" Top notch!
This style is tasted like no other without too much frills and fuss, making it ideal for parties and events but also easily accompanies a tasty piece of meat, vegetarian dishes and a variety of tapas.
- climate
-
The climate in Rioja Alavesa is influenced by the Atlantic more than in the rest of Rioja. Protection from that same northern influence by the Cantabrian mountains. Combined with high-altitude vineyards, this guarantees short but very hot summers with cooling northern winds and long mild winters with plenty of precipitation.
- soil
-
Young vineyards less than 20 years old consisting mainly of clay and chalk.
- vinification
-
100% Tempranillo. Picked in the cool of the morning. The entire bunches first undergo a 'Maceration Carbonique' on inox vats to extract as much fresh fruit as possible from the grapes. Fermentation on inox under controlled temperature. After resting for six months, the wine is then bottled to be enjoyed preferably young.
